The Electrical Engineering department was established at University of Zanjan in 1993. The Electrical engineering department, with more than 25 faculty members, is the largest department in the Faculty of Engineering of University of Zanjan. Today, this department offers several programs in Electrical Engineering leading to Bachelor of Science (BSc), Master of Science (MSc), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees.

About 630 undergraduate students and more than 100 graduate students are enrolled in electrical engineering department every year. The students major in one of the following Electrical Engineering areas including

Bio-Electrics Engineering,

Telecommunications Engineering,

Control Engineering,

Electronics Engineering,

and Power engineering

toward the undergraduate or graduate degrees. The curriculum of these programs have been designed carefully to prepare the students to be successful in their careers and advance in industry as well as making significant contributions to the field of electrical engineering.
